From the Heart
At 17 years old, I was sexually groomed by a pastor (who is still pastoring). I reached out for help, but instead of receiving help from people I thought were like family, I have been given the silent treatment. Recently, I have shared my story and the truth again in the last few months. This time I share with full confidence, a louder voice, and not standing down. This website is full of truth, hurt, grief, and pain. But, I do hope that this website brings not only myself healing, but healing to others who have been let down by the church. I also will allow this website to branch out to other topics too, not just abuse within the church.

Hi!!! My name is Meighan Maia. I am a lover of coffee, sunsets, Taylor Swift, and just living life to the absolute fullest. I want to make a difference in this generation, and the next. I have moved around the south about 15 times (including moving to London, England after high school). Traveling, reading romance novels and sitting in coffee shops are some of my favorite things to do.
